Menu Plan November 22 - 26

Menu Planning! I haven't forgotten about it, in fact, I have been menu planning for about a month or so. I just have neglected to post my plans. They have been pretty simple, with familiar recipes and favorites such as:

This week I am trying a few new recipes! Here is the plan:

Monday: Family dinner at Tim's house (his uncle is visiting!)
Tuesday: Italian Sausage and Potato Roast (Suggestion from my sister... it was delicious and SO easy! Supper was completed by 5 pm for once! Thank Kathryn.)
Wednesday: Wild rice, roasted veggies and chicken
Friday: Courtney's Shepherd's Pie (see below)

See Organizing Junkie's blog for more yummy recipes!

We ate so many yummy recipes when we had friends cook for us after Lila was born! Courtney's Shepherd's Pie was so delicious and I needed to get the recipe. Here it is for your enjoyment!

Courtney's Shepherd's Pie

1 1/2 - 2 pounds hamburger
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 540 g can of cream corn
1/2 onion
7-8 large potatoes
butter
milk
garlic powder
cheddar cheese

Cook the hamburger, and boil the potatoes.
Add cut up onion and a little garlic powder to the hamburger as it's cooking.
In a separate bowl mix the soup and the cream corn and heat in microwave or on the stove top.
Add milk and butter to mashed potatoes, mix in 1/2 cup of cheese to the potatoes.
Layer the hamburger, soup/corn mix and potatoes then finish with the remaining cheese on top.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
