Summer vacation 2011 (part 1)

We just recently had our summer vacation for the year, travelling to Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. What a beautiful little spot to relax and enjoy each other, catching up with many family members, some we only get to see every three years. We had so much fun, I'll let the pictures tell the story!

We took the ferry from Saint John to Digby. It saved us many, many hours of driving, plus it was tons of fun for the kids! The water was calm (thankfully I wasn't motion sick) and the sun was shining!

Friday was Upper Clements Park day. This amusement park holds so many fun family memories for me, as we used to go every year after school was over as a celebration. (Mom would refuse to take us to the rides when they came to the parking lot in New Minas and always promise us Upper Clements Park!) It was like a dream land for Charlotte. She was thrilled the whole time and thankfully her aunties graciously took her on all the kiddie rides many, many times over! I even got in some adult rides... the Flume and Roller Coaster too!

What's a day at an amusement park without a little cotton candy ice cream?

Needless to say, everyone was a bit sleepy by the end of the day! Upper Clements Park is such a beautiful spot, lots of trees and shade, many benches for nursing and resting. It's a perfect spot for family fun!

  1. It looks like great fun. I've never been there, and I can just imagine how much fun it would be for Samuel and I.
